We are featuring three all-nighter items. That means we will take bids on them all during the auction, and the highest bidders at the end of the auction will win the items.

First all-nighter:  A total of three hard drives, 5 terabytes each, that Johnny Holmes has loaded with radio shows, television programs, cartoons, movies, the works. At the end of the auction, the highest bidder will have all three hard drives. As a rule, we don’t list minimum bids, but this one is an exception. The opening bid on this collection is $300 to cover the cost of the hard drives, which were purchased new. That’s three external hard drives, each with 5 terabytes, loaded with multi-media items. All are plug and play.

Second all-nighter: From The Glowing Dial archives  - a comprehensive collection of just about every Glowing Dial program that Big John and Steve ever did. These include YUSA fill-in Shows, YUSA permanent shows, NET shows, podcast shows, YUSA live shows, simulcasts with Radio Once More and much more. This is a huge collection of fun broadcasts that include high quality OTR shows.

Third all-nighter: This treat from Walden Hughes has four separate parts. You’ll have all night to bid on:

       One terabyte external hard drive, plug and play on any computer. Walden will fill it with shows of your choice.

       Two terabyte external hard drive, plug and play on any computer. Walden will fill it with shows of your choice.

       Three terabyte external hard drive, plug and play on any computer, that Walden will fill with shows of your choice.

       Four terabyte external hard drive that will plug and play on any computer. Walden will fill this with a custom collection of shows that your choose.

Aside: These items are for one million, two million, three million and four million megabytes. The capacity is huge on all our. Walden’s files have outstanding sound quality, and the contents of the hard drives may be shared.

Now, on to the items. Many are old time radio options, and some are items that will also make great Christmas gifts.

We’ll start with some collections provided by Big John, YUSA DJ host and half of the Big John and Steve team at The Glowing Dial.

All of Big John’s items are downloads from his computer to yours. He will work with each winner to make sure it’s an easy process.

Another downloadable item offered by Big John, this collection has 1,184 episodes of an outstanding comedy that bolstered spirits during the Great Depression, World War II and the years after. Listener Richard Stark contributed this unusual find — an album of 60 one-of-a-kind radio shows on 20 ninety-minute cassettes. That’s 30 hours of western, comedy, drama, detective and variety shows aired between 1947 and 1957. A booklet is also included that details each show and its history.

Patricia LOVES this show that also features Walter Tetley as wise-guy grocery delivery boy Julius Abruzzio, and Elliott Lewis as a member of Phil Harris’s band. Elliott was a master of comedic timing and every episode is a treat.

Big John is emptying his vault for us. The NBC University Theatre (The NBC Theatre on the Air) - 113 episodes of this series which was known under two different but similar names during its run on NBC radio. This is a download, too, and Big John will work with the winner to get these shows to you.

The Shadow knows … and you will, too, with this collection contributed by Big John: 194 episodes of various of this iconic series created by Walter Gibson. The program, which presented crime both solved and resolved by the invisible Shadow, ran for more than 30 years. This item contains episodes with Orson Welles, Bill Johnstone, John Archer and Bret Morrison playing The Shadow. Also included is a Shadow film.

Broadway Is My Beat, close to the complete collection that ran for more than five years. At different times, the program starred Anthony Ross and Larry Thor. The series was produced and directed by Elliott Lewis, who was the emblem of quality. All files here are in FLAC format.
